monsanto began as the cotton manufacturers and owned patent rights to the cotton seed around the turn of the century.they eventually bought out the patent rights to other seeds around the world including the flax seed. they then proceeded to close down these industries.
whether this is good or bad is up to the individuals' judgement but it is fact

genetic modification of genes for plant matter includes disabling plants from being able to seed . if these plants that have in effect been made steriles' seed blow into an area of unmodified genes they will contaminate the unmodified genes and make them sterile.


my hope is that even though it may not look good it will in the end be for the best....but i doubt it
